Photonics 42 and ficonTEC support MedLumics on developing process for the automated assembly of an intra-cardiac catheter sensing tip for Atrial Fibrillation.
Photonics 42 will define and develop together with ficonTEC an automation process for the automated assembly of the sensing tip of an intra-cardiac catheter sensing tip for MedLumics. It is envisaged that the whole assembly line will be based on the ficonTEC’s automated assembly machines. The whole assembly process definition is required to investigate the automated alignment and bonding of a micro-lens on the tip of an optical fiber. The automated process development on ficonTEC’s platform will allow MedLumics the large volume manufacturing capability to target the market of disposable catheters needed for the medical treatment of the Atrial Fibrillation heart condition.
